WEEK 9 (review)
Zanaco beaten by Lumwana Radiants, Power beaten by Nkwazi, Janza facing the axe, soon?
Lumwana Radiants 1-0 Zanaco
Lumwana Radiants moved out of the relegation zone in the Super League with a win against an already shaken Zanaco on Wednesday afternoon in Lumwana.
Radiants deservedly beat the bankers as they seemed to be more motivated and grabbed an early goal in the 12th minute through Victor Mubanga, the match went on in similar fashion as both teams couldn’t capitalize on chances created as the match ended in Radiants favour.
Lumwana head coach Zeddy Saileti will be happy with the way they got their victory after outplaying Zanaco for much of the game and it gives them a boost in their pursuit of getting out of the relegation zone and getting some sort of revenge against a Zanaco team that had won both of their previous games at Lumwana ground.
Zanaco, who have now lost two games in a row never really looked like stopping their poor form. This will hurt for most Zanaco fans who are used to too much success. Zanaco face Power Dynamos in week 10.
Power Dynamos 0-1 Nkwazi
Chipungu Musukuma handled Chris Kaunda his second win after taking over and this will be a big one for Nkwazi. They leave Power Dynamos fourth on the log and Nkwazi gets to eighth position.
Nchanga Rangers 2-1 Red Arrows
Nasha Kaya of Nchanga Rangers got the winner in the 89th minute condemning Red Arrows to a five games losing streak who are now one point above relegation zone. The win gave Nchanga Rangers a boost as they jumped to 14th position where as the loss for Red Arrows continues to pile the pressure on head coach Janza to turn things around.
Lusaka Dynamos 0-0 Kitwe United
Kitwe United managed to halt the Lusaka Dynamos train with a draw grabbing a vital point away from home in a game Lusaka Dynamos were predicted to win.
The league keeps promising more for week 10, lets wait and see how the greatness will unfold.
