U17 STAR PROMOTED TO U20
Cosafa U17 Best Player Lubasi Pumulo says she is confident that she will add value to the under-20 side that is heading to Accra for the return leg of the Costa Rica 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. The first leg ended 0-0 with coach Charles Haalubono re-enforcing his squad ahead of Saturday’s return leg.
Pumulo told the FAZ media team after the morning session that she will put in her best to help the team win Saturday’s match against Ghana.
“I will use the experience gained from the COSAFA U17 Youth Championship in Lesotho to help the team and I have been training a lot with my colleagues that will also help,” Pumulo said.
Pumulo participated in the U17 Women’s COSAFA Championship held in Lesotho where she emerged as the Player of the Tournament to help Zambia reap gold best after thrashing Botswana 4-0 in the tournament’s final. The first leg for the Costa Rica 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier ended 0-0. The winner of the second-leg encounter will qualify for the next round of the 2022 Costa Rica World Cup qualifiers. The 2022 Costa Rica World cup is expected to run from August 10 to August 28, 2022.
