NCHANGA RANGERS APPOINT AGGREY CHIYANGI
Nchanga Rangers have been in the market for new coach following some inconsistent results and this afternoon the club officially announced the appointment of Aggrey Chinyangi as head coach. Below is the full statement released by Nchanga Rangers Vice President Mr Shapi Shachinda:
“Nchanga Rangers Football Club seeks to inform its supporters, soccer fans, the football fraternity and other partners that the Club has appointed Aggrey Chiyangi as the Head Coach to take over from Robert Tembo, who has mutually separated with the Club.”
“Mr. Chiyangi has signed a two-year Contract with an option to extend at the end of the tenure. Mr Tembo and all his assistants, except Willie Chimpinde, have all separated with Nchanga Rangers FC. Mr Chimpinde has been reassigned to the Young Nchanga Rangers Football Club, where he was seconded to the senior team.”
“Coach Aggrey Chiyangi has been tasked to immediately revive the form and performances of our youthful and talented Nchanga Rangers FC team in the 2022/2023 campaign of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Super League Season.”
“Mr Chiyangi does not require any introduction on the Zambia football scene as a former international player and accomplished Coach. We believe his coaching pedigree will take our Club to another level as we continue with our ambition to restore our pride as one of Zambia’s premier and household names.”
“Our focus is to stay in the Super League and begin to compete for trophies in the coming season. The Club’s Executive Committee (ExCo) believes that Coach Chiyangi and his assistants who will be announced in due course, has that competitive edge to achieve the Club’s high ambitions,” Mr Shachinda said.
“The Nchanga Rangers ExCo appeals to our supports and fans to provide the necessary support to the new technical bench and the players for them to achieve the Club’s aspirations. The ExCo also pays its gratitude to Coach Robert Tembo and his assistants for the works done at the Club, especially for winning promotion to the Super Division.”
