LEAGUE FOOTBALL SO FAR PART 2

The Zambia Super League as always, is delivering what was promised and with 5 weeks played here is a review so far:

like 2 gameweeks ago Group A has been the busier of the 2 groups with the most goals scored standing at 54 goals and group B standing at 50 goals scored. With all the goal frenzy going on in group A, it’s safe to say we haven’t seen the end of it and for the second time in a row group A gets the title of “Most Exciting Group.”

To earn the title of “Meanest Defence In The League,” are Zesco United, Nkwazi Fc, Green Eagles Fc which is an unusual occurrence as 3 teams get the title. It can be argued that Zesco have played a game less compared to the other 2 teams, but as things stand the 3 teams have each conceded 2 goals which is the least number of goals conceded compared to any team in both streams.

The title of “Weakest Defence So Far” goes to Lumwana Radiants. The title is given to them with no intension of disrespect but rather as things stand, Lumwana so far have conceded a total of 9 goals in 5 games which is close to 2 goals a game hence they deserve the title.

The title of “Most Entertaining Team” goes to the Sensational Zanaco FC who have been blowing away side left, right and center, with Zesco being the only team to mount a challenge to their pursuit of top spot. Zanaco have now scored a total of 14 goals in 5 games with a ratio of close to 3 goals each game, making the journal through the league a feast for their beloved fans.

Earning the title of “Best Player So Far” is and retaining the title Rodjers Kola, which should come as no surprise seeing that he has been “Mr Reliable” for the bankers when needed. Kola has bagged a total of 6 goals in 5 games which translates a ratio of over 1 goal in each game, outstanding right? Hence we ask the question, will Kola score the most goals at the end of the league?

Thank you for the read join us next time for part 3.
