FC MIDTJYLLAND SIGN E. CHILUFYA

Zambian International Edward Chilufya has officially been snapped up by Danish giants FC MIDTJYLLAND, signing a contract till 2026.

FC MIDTJYLLAND purchased the tricky winger from Swedish side Djurgåden IF and had this to say about him:

“FC Midtjylland is strengthened with the addition of the Zambian national team player, Edward Chilufya. The 22-year-old offensive player joins FC Midtjylland from the Swedish bronze winners Djurgården IF and has signed an agreement until 31 December 2026.”

“Edward has proven himself at a high level in the Allsvenskan and still has great development potential, which we look forward to fulfilling together. He has been crucial for Djurgården IF, where he with his perseverance and speed has had a strong impact with both goals and assists.”

“Last season, Chilufya played 29 games with eight goals and four assists as a result. He has represented Djurgården 73 times since 2018.”

“He will increase the competition in the offensive positions, where he brings some other competencies than those that we already have at our disposal. It is a transfer that makes us more complete,” says Svend Graversen.

Edward Chilufya has selected number 18 and travels with the team to training camp in Portugal on Tuesday.
