DIANA CHIKOTESHA TO OFFICIATE IN THE U17 FINAL

FIFA referee Diana Chikotesha will serve as first assistant during this evening’s TotalEnergies U17 AFCON Algeria 2023 final between Senegal and Morocco.

The final will kick-off at 23h00CAT at the Nelson Mandela stadium in Algiers, with Gabonese referee Tanguy Patrice Mebiame taking charge of proceedings while Fanta Idrissa Kone of Mali will be the second assistant referee.

According to the match appointments, there will be another southern African interest in the final as South African Akhona Makalima will assist Video Assistant Referee Ahmad Heeralall of Mauritius in the VAR room.

Chikotesha who had stellar year in 2022 continues to fly the Zambian flag high and will be expected to officiate at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand in July.
