CHIRWA BUBBLES AHEAD OF COSAFA

Chipolopolo midfielder Jack Chirwa says the team is focused on beating Namibia on Saturday when the two sides meet in the 2018 Cosafa Castle Cup quarterfinal at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Chirwa told FAZfootball.com that Zambia knew a few things about Namibia whom they drew 1-all in January at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) and yet to face each other in September in the race for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The versatile Green Buffaloes midfielder was in action when Zambia drew 1-all with Namibia at the CHAN.

“The game against Namibia will not be easy but we will just work hard so that we win. We have played them many times, the most important thing is to coordinate. We want to reach and win the final,” he said.
“The new comers are working hard and even us who have been around are also fighting.”

Stand-in coach Beston Chambeshi will lead the Chipolopolo at the 2018 Cosafa Castle Cup that is currently underway in Limpopo Province of South Africa.

Zambia will open its campaign on Saturday against Namibia.

The team leaves for South Africa on Thursday.
