CCL and CCC Football this weekend

CCL
Zesco United vs TP Mazembe
The ZSL Champions look to overturn a 1-0 away loss against the DRC giants at home in front of their fans. The fact that they went down to a 1-0 scoreline shows that more positives than negatives can be picked up, an away match in lumumbashi was always going to be tough and considering the scoreline Zega should be motivated enough to overturn it in that case the tie. What Zesco United need to progress to the group stage of the Champions League is a victory with the a scoreline difference of 2 at the very least.

Simba S.C vs Nkana FC
The Barclays Cup Champions go to Tanzania with an aggregate scoreline of 2-1 in their favour and look to defend it or even better improve it. Nkana FC managed to out-smart Simba at the Nkana Stadium with goals coming in from the “Kampambas,” however, Nkana need to be weary of the goal they conceded via a penalty as it may give some confidence to the home side in the 2nd leg. What Nkana FC need to go through to the group stage is draw at the very least.

CCC
NA Hussein Dey vs Green Eagles
The Choma based side in their debut season take with them a 0-0 aggregate scoreline to Algeria after both sides failed to breach each other’s defence. Such a scoreline is morale boosting in a way that for qualification Green Eagles need only a draw with goals at the very least. The Choma based side are a side that fight till the end so qualification shouldn’t be such a huge task but considering Zambian Club history matches played in North Africa prove to be quite problematic.

Green Buffaloes vs Sfaxien
The Army sponsored side face a huge task in overturning a 4-1 away loss to Sfaxien only this time they are at home. The biggest question is “can Buffaloes manage to score 3 unanswered goals?” GBFC face a steep mountain to climb even as they will be backed by they fans.
