IT’S CAF AWARDS NIGHT

Once again the performances of Zambians in African football has been recognised by CAF, and tonight they might get awarded for their efforts. The Zambians in question are Shepolopolo captain Grace Chanda and Coach Bruce Mwape. The achievements that both have been pivotal to speak for themselves as Grace emerged top scorer in the Qualifiers for the Tokyo Olympics, while Coach Bruce Mwape has qualified the team to all the major tournaments with most recent being the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

For her exploits, Grace Chanda is nominated for the Player of the Year Award along side Ajara Nchout Njoya of Cameroon and Asisat Oshoala of Nigeria.

While Coach Bruce Mwape has been nominated for the Coach of the Year in Women’s football alongside Desiree Ellis (South Africa), Jerry Tshabalala (Mamelodi Sundowns) and Reynald Pedros (Morocco)
