HOW CHIPOLOPOLO COULD LINEUP

The day all Chipolopolo fans have been waiting for is slowly approaching and in our attempt to match the excitement Zedbola presents how the Chipolopolo could line up in 9 ways. Without wasting any time let’s get down to business:

The above could be one way the Chipolopolo could line up with the possibility of seeing the likes of Patson Daka, Lubambo Musonda coming on as second half substitutes just to shake things.

Another one could see Patson teamed up with the most in form striker in Lazarus Kambole and opting for stability in midfield with Nathan Sinkala partnering Salulani Phiri as anchors, with triple C and Enock Mwepu in the flanks.

The shown formation is a 4-1-4-1 which is a new one but quite straightforward, it possesses a balance of attack and defence. This particular lineup if considered is the most exciting as it has the right mix of experience and youth.

This particular formation 4-2-3-1 is not a new one as it has been used at the national team level and considering the players selected it suits them perfectly. With two anchors in midfield this lineup’s intention is to out number the opponent in midfield and impose your style; with subs bringing on Patson, Lubambo and Bruce just to wreck even more havoc once damage is done.

This formation is a mirror of the one mentioned earlier, which is a 4-1-4-1 although with this one the lineup is slightly different as triple C and Augustine retaining their slots; seeing the introduction of Fashion Sakala, Rainford Kalaba, Patson Daka and Salulani Phiri.

This is an interesting lineup, one which has rarely been used. The 4-3-3 formation provides a new dynamic to the Chipolopolo game and would be interesting to see if it was to be used, as this system would rely on the efficiency of both the attackers and the support of the midfield; which is a style hardly used by the national set up.

The above formation is the 4-4-2 diamond and the diamond comes in as a result of how the midfield is place, as can be seen that would mean Kalaba would play the number 10 role behind the two attackers being thier connection to the midfield. This style depends largely on the player in the number 10 role being skilled enough to execute the plan.

This formation is a mirror of the earlier mentioned 4-4-2 with the only difference being the players used in the starting 11.

The same applies for the above lineup as is a mirror of the 4-2-3-1, like the other mirror formations the selected players are the only difference carrying out a different game plan we can only assume.

Now we wait and see which lineup Coach Sven Vandenbroek will use for his first official game incharge of the Chipolopolo.
