The former Zanaco man has been a bright flame in the South African lower league, making goal scoring look easy as he bagged goals for fun week in week out in the process helping his team qualify to the ABSA Premier league via playoffs where he scored 4 goals and 1 assist in 4 games. As lovers and followers of the Zambian game we hope he maintains his form so he can be called for the national set up and hopefully replicate this form.

The Zambian ace Shonga has had an exciting first season with Pirates and to show for it he had his wonder goal against Chippa go all the way to the final 3 nominations for goal of the season, where it unfortunately fell short. In his first season Shonga nicknamed “Bayer” managed to bag 4 goals and 6 assists as well as other awards with goal of the month being one of them.
