Recap
NAPSA STARS vs NKANA FC
(review)
Week 8 games promised drama, excitement, excellence, satisfaction etc and its safe to say that the full package was delivered.
Napsa hosted Nkana hoping to end the recent run of un-wanted results and climb up the table but that wasn’t the case as Nkana attacked them from kick off, as a result of the pressure on Napsa a foul was committed in the 18 area and a penalty was given in the 19th minute; which Shadreck Musonda took expertly aiming for the left bottom corner as the NAPSA keeper went the opposite direction giving Nkana a 0 -1 lead. The game went on with a few chances created between both teams to score with NAPSA coming the closest as Nkana’s goal post was rattled just before the ref blew the whistle signalling half time.
The second half started with more intensity as both sides wanted to win the game as NAPSA made the first change bringing on Luka Lungu for Jean Nyeyimana. Nkana had a chance to double their lead through Walter Bwalya from a Joseph Musonda cross had it not been for the NAPSA keeper who parried Walter’s header. The match dragged on up until the 75th minute when Luka Lungu equalized with a header which seemed to re-energize Nkana as they went looking for a win when Mbombo was introduced into the game and it worked out for Nkana as he got the winning goal when NAPSA failed to clear their lines latching onto the ball and smashing it into the back of the net, thus breaking the hearts of the NAPSA fans.
