After exciting weeks of Zed football Zedbola is here to give you a review of the MTN FAZ SUPER LEAGUE so far and without wasting time let’s get into it.
To get the title of “Most Consistent Team So far” is Green Eagles FC. The Choma based side has been getting results without failing and that’s why they earn the title, out of the 18 games played they have won 10, drawing 6 and only losing 2 times which makes them the side that has dropped the least points from loses. In the last 5 games they have scored a total of 10 goals and only conceding 1, enjoying an unbeaten run getting 13 points from a possible 15 with 4 wins and a draw. Is this the form that will make sure they play continental football again or even win the league? Let’s wait and see.
To get the title of “Most Exciting Team So Far” is NAPSA Stars FC. The side also known as “Tangala” have been going about their business with some mesmerizing attacking football as they always leave their fans and neutral in total satisfaction. They have made some transfers which have also helped as Tapson Kaseba put in a Man of the Match shift bagging a brace and 2 assists in his first game for the Lusaka based side, adding to a total of 8 goals that Napsa have scored in 5 games.
To get the title of “Best Player So Far” is James Chamanga. They say fine wine gets better with age, the same can be said about Chamanga who appears not to have lost his scoring boots over time, as he is enjoying fine form finding the back of the net 10 times making him joint top scorer alongside Kenyan Jackson Jesse Were. James Chamanga a.k.a “Jemba Jemba” has been a complete professional inspiring with his perfomances and challenging the younger footballers to raise they game to his level.
BEST ATTACK SO FAR
- NAPSA Stars FC & Zesco United FC: With 27 goals each in 18 & 16 games respectively, Napsa have a conversion rate of 1.5 goals per game while Zesco have a rate of 1.7 goals per game.
- Green Eagle FC: With 25 goals in 18 games which gives them a conversion rate of 1.4 goals per game.
- Zanaco FC: With 23 goals in 16 games giving them a conversion rate of 1.4 goals per game.
BEST DEFENSE SO FAR
- Power Dynamos FC: In 17 games played they have conceded only 10 goals.
- Green Eagles FC: In 18 games played they have conceded only 11 goals.
- Forest Rangers FC: In 18 games played they have conceded only 12 goals.
WORST DEFENSE SO FAR
- Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy: Conceding a total of 38 goals in 18 games, with a rate of 2.1 goals per game.
- Mufulira Wanderers FC: Conceding a total of 31 goals in 18 games, with a rate of 1.7 goals per game.
- Nakambala Leopards FC: Conceding a total of 27 goals in 18 games, with a rate of 1.5 goals per game.
